Congratulations to our October Raffle Winner: Army Veteran Nic Church of Conneaut!

 

Nic proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Army, with assignments spanning the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, the 5th Infantry Division in Vietnam, and field artillery units across Korea, Germany, and the U.S. He rose through the ranks from Cannoneer to First Sergeant, served five years as a Drill Sergeant—including as NCOIC of Drill Sergeant School at Fort Sill—and was inducted into the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara in 1985.

After retiring, Nic continued his service as a JROTC instructor and later as Commandant of Cadets at Massanutten Military Academy. He’s also a dedicated community leader, having served multiple terms as President of Conneaut City Council and launching programs like Senior of the Month and Spartan of the Month.

​

Nic visited our office for a Benefits Well-Check and was automatically entered into our monthly raffle! As our October winner, Nic received the following donated items: Two $25 Giant Eagle/GetGo Gift Cards from the American Legion Post 103, Auxiliary, Four $5 Dairy Queen Certificates to be redeemed at 1723 E. Prospect Rd, Ashtabula, One $25 Speedway Gas Card from the Ashtabula Elks Lodge #208, One $50 Giant Eagle/GetGo Gift Card from the US Vets MC Club of Ashtabula, One $50 VISA Gift Card from the Vietnam Veterans of America, and One $35 Commemorative Paver on our Warrior Walk!
