OUTREACH INITIATIVES

DECEMBER 2025

Congratulations to our December 2025 Raffle Winner: Edward Krenisky!
Edward proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps as an 0311. During the Vietnam War, he was stationed in D’Nang, where he served as a crew chief in the Fire Department. One of his fondest memories from his time in service was going on a Mediterranean cruise—an experience he truly loved. Edward speaks with great pride about his time in the Marine Corps and the joy he found in serving.
After completing his military service, Edward went straight to work at Hercules Packing in Conneaut, OH. Not long after starting there, he met the woman who would become his wife—they married in January 1972 and remain happily married to this day. His career path later took him to Monroe Township’s Road department, then to Elkem Metals in Ashtabula. In 1994, he joined the Laborers Union, traveling across the country to remove asbestos and support safer working environments.
Now retired, Edward enjoys spending time with his family—especially his great‑grandchildren—and loves being outdoors and going for walks.
As our raffle winner, Edward received: One $100 Giant Eagle Get/Go Gift Card (donated by Rolling Thunder, Inc. Ohio Chapter 2). Four $5 Dairy Queen Gift Certificates (1723 E. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula). One $50 Speedway Gas Cards (donated by Ashtabula Elks Lodge #208). One $50 VISA Gift Card (donated by the Vietnam Veterans of America), and a commemorative PAVER on our Warrior Walk!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each organization for their generous support and commitment to honoring local veterans. Congratulations again to Edward—and thank you for your service!
