September 2025 Raffle Giveaway Winner: Peter Poulos of Conneaut

We’re thrilled to announce that Peter Poulos of Conneaut is our September 2025 raffle winner!

Peter served honorably in both the U.S. Army and Army Reserves from 1984 to 1990 as an armor crewman, operating M1A1 Abrams tanks. His service took him to Fort Knox, Fort Sam Houston, and Germany. Originally from California, Peter moved to Ohio in July 2021 with his wife Mora, and they’ve been proud residents of Conneaut ever since.

Peter enjoys restoring classic cars—his 1992 Buick and 1978 Mercedes—and playing the drums. He recently visited our office for a benefits check and was entered into our monthly raffle. Upon learning he’d won, Peter shared that he hadn’t won anything since 1975… when he won a goldfish!

As our September winner, Peter received the following donated items: Two $25 Giant Eagle/GetGo Gift Cards Donated by the Geneva VFW Post 6846 Auxiliary, Four $5 Gift Certificates to Dairy Queen Located at 1723 E. Prospect Road, Ashtabula, Two $25 Speedway Gas Cards Donated by the Ashtabula ELKS Lodge #208, One $75 Giant Eagle/GetGo Gift Card Donated by Rolling Thunder Chapter 2 of Ohio, One $25 Gift Certificate to Lake Erie Book Company Located in Geneva and donated by American Legion Post 124, and One $35 Commemorative Paver on our Warrior Walk!
