OUTREACH INITIATIVES

MAY 2025

Aric (Ali) Camarata of Conneaut is the winner of the May 2025 Raffle Giveaway. Ali served in the U.S. Army from 2001–2004 as a 19D Cavalry Scout. An adventure and challenge based on duty and sacrifice; but with a greater purpose and chance of becoming something greater than oneself. For him, military service meant doing the hard thing that few are willing to do.

After leaving the Army, he pursued his passion for technology as a software engineer and architect. Today, he and his family run a nonprofit charity helping orphans. He also volunteers as the local Imam, offering spiritual guidance and support to inmates at the Lake Erie Correctional Institution in Conneaut. He would like to thank all veterans in the county and wish everyone a blessed Eid this Friday.

Ali received a $25 Giant Eagle/Get-Go gift card, donated by the Geneva VFW Post #6846 Auxiliary, a $25 gift certificate to Earth's Natural Treasures too, located in Geneva and donated by the Geneva American Legion, Post 124, a $50 gift card towards a car service at Lake Erie Automotive Service, located in Conneaut and donated by veteran, Paul Petro, a $100 Giant Eagle/Get-Go gift card, donated by the Rolling Thunder, Inc. Ohio Chapter 2, and a $35 valued Paver on the Veterans Service Commission’s Warrior Walk!
